It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that the family announces the devastating and unexpected passing of Jaydon John Attridge on April 9, 2026, while travelling out of the country.

Jaydon was the beloved son of Linda and Jim, a cherished brother to Ryan and Jasmine, and a loving partner to Laura. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by his extended family, his close-knit circle of friends, and his community at the YMCA.

Jaydon’s presence was truly unforgettable with his outgoing, witty, and uplifting personality. He brought warmth and energy into every space he entered, along with his natural gift for bringing people together, and making everyone feel welcome, valued, and included. His laughter, creativity, and genuine spirit leaves a lasting impression on all who knew him.

Jaydon carried a unique blend of authenticity, warmth, humour, and energy that made others feel seen and uplifted. He had a way of drawing people in with his ability to lead, making life feel a little more fun and a lot more meaningful.

Jaydon enjoyed fishing, playing hockey and golf, skiing, travelling, and spending time around the poker table. He was an avid fan of the Leafs and the Blue Jays, and he treasured football Sundays with friends. He also had a deep appreciation for music, especially the songs of Zach Bryan, which reflected his spirit and love for life.

Jaydon was the president of the Theta Delta Chi (TDX) fraternity in Toronto where he loved organizing events for hundreds of people at the fraternity house. He would always go the extra mile and include things such as food trucks and security to make sure everyone had the best time possible.

Passionate about building, cooking, and capturing life’s moments through photography and video, Jaydon was always creating memories that will be treasured forever.

He had a deep love for the outdoors and camping, shaped in part by his many years as a camper, staff member and, in realizing a dream, director of YMCA Camp Waabanaki. Waab held a special place in Jaydon’s heart, and in addition to many other qualities that made him so special, his innovative ideas and natural ability to build and fix just about anything made him a valuable asset to the camp and its community. His skills, ability, and enthusiasm to implement a creative approach to many aspects of camp life have been enriching the experience for campers and staff for years, and he leaves this as a lasting legacy.

His heart was pure, his intentions genuine, and his impact immeasurable. All who knew him will miss his kindness, and his willingness to help others without expecting anything in return.

Though his time with us was far too short, the love he gave and the memories he created will live within us forever. He will never be forgotten and will continue to live on in the laughter he inspired, the friendships he strengthened, and the love and kindness he shared so freely.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to YMCA Camp Waabanaki, a place Jaydon dedicated his time and passion to, helping give children the opportunity to experience the joy of camp.

Details on Jaydon’s celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
